School’s out, the sun is shining and summer is in full swing. Before the summer passes you by, be sure to take advantage of the beauty of the season. After all, spending well-deserved quality time with the people you love can take your summer from ordinary to extraordinary, by simply rethinking your routine.
Don’t know where to start? We’ve got four suggestions to help you savor the summer!
1) Take advantage of the outdoors. Enjoy a day trip with your friends and family, pack a picnic or share what matters with the people that bring meaning to your life.
2) Reflect on the abundances in your life. Think about the things that put a smile on your face and make a pointed effort to let your friends and family know how much they are appreciated.
3) Reach out and connect with a friend in need. No matter who you are, there is probably someone in your life that could benefit from your attention. Ask them if they could use a hand, or simply take the time to check in with a phone call or drop by for a visit.
4) Cultivate a mindfulness practice. Find a quiet spot in your house or outside in your garden and make it a place where you and your family can pause, breath and connect.
