Mindfulness Without Borders (MWB) is a leading provider of best practices and evidenced-based programs on secular mindfulness and social-emotional intelligence to youth, educators, health and corporate professionals in communities around the world. At its core, our programs build community and connection by nurturing safe learning environments and cross-cultural conversations where people of all backgrounds can reach across things that seem to divide them¬ in order to see possibilities for what they might create together as world citizens.

There is no question that these are difficult times, but the needs of underserved communities are not diminished by a tough economy. By donating today, your donation will give us the flexibility to expand our programs to those communities that otherwise would go unnoticed. When you give to our organization, you are actually contributing to strengthening the health and well-being of the people that are served by our programs. Thank you in advance as we couldn’t do any of our work without your generosity.

Mindfulness is a practice that involves focusing your awareness on the present moment, while acknowledging and accepting without judgment your feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. It allows you to see your experience just as it is and deal with difficult emotions and body sensations. With this awareness, you can gain a more compassionate understanding of the world. With over two decades of mounting scientific research, demonstrating benefits – from fortifying the immune system to reducing stress and anxiety, and improving overall wellbeing – it’s just exciting to think of the transformation that the integration of these practices can bring positive individual and societal change.

Social and emotional intelligence refers to core competencies that inspire people to lead with more awareness, understanding and compassion. Putting this knowledge into practice helps you better understand and manage emotions, set and achieve goals, feel and show empathy for others, form and maintain healthy relationships, and make solid decisions– all skills that are key for effective leadership. Together with a mindfulness practice, these repertoire of skills can help develop a way of being that strengthens personal and professional success.
